@HateHentai has started tagging this previously manually nuked tag. i'd get it if it was for like very protruding ankles like post #10767810 but some of the tagged posts don't even have ankles in it like post #12115751. others are barely a detail like post #12090445. post #12065124???
post #12115751 was not tagged by me, though I do see shadows drawn on the left leg that resembles an ankle. I removed the ankle tag from the parent post, however.
I've seen instances like extremely tiny people in backgrounds warranting the removal of the 1girl tag, which is a subtle detail. Does this tag not cover similar ground to say the fingernail tag, which shows that a certain detail in anatomy was drawn?

the point is that pretty much every post that can be tagged ankle can be tagged with feet, so we end up with 2 tags for pretty much the same thing. we don't have a tag for hands.
if the tag stays it should be renamed to ankles at least
edit: we also have achilles tendon but at least it's only drawn at a specific angle

I’ve been sifting through some of the highest scored posts tagged feet over different timeframes, and found a large portion of art completely lacking drawn ankles. Plural for the tag is probably appropriate, though.
