How should I go about uploading art over 100mb?

@HUD2424 I believe you have missed the message above, but someone has achieved lossless JXL below 100MB

No I don't, that is the effort 11 encode I mentioned. Yes you can get more compression, but definitely not worth waiting 32hrs lol. It has potential and still get worked on the side, but the current implementation in main releases are not practical.

Sorry, that's my bad. You're right, the decode on that image takes ages and ramps up some fans. However for a one-off like this in think it's acceptable. The thread owner decided to go with a lossy image anyway. Thank you for your input!

Sorry for reviving the thread but I just want to share. Here is much more optimized attempts of compression at 91.7 MIB. This file should be much faster to decode as well. I would not be surprised if this was the setting the decoder found with effort 11 (it's basically bruteforcing all options to find the best compression).

-q 100 -e 9 --num_threads=15 -P 1 -I 100 -g 3 --faster_decoding 2
Encoding [Modular, lossless, effort: 9]

Compressed to 96187.1 kB (15.163 bpp).

5400 x 9398, 0.295 MP/s, 15 threads.

Result files: https://files.catbox.moe/u0mynz.jxl

PS: DO NOT copy paste this setting to every compression, you are likely getting even worse compression than usual. Only play with advanced setting when you are desperate
