I understand that the sisters tag does apply to sister ships in Kantai Collection but there are some asterisks involved. One of the ones I've had trouble reconciling is the relationship that Amatsukaze has with Shimakaze due to the former being a test bed for the latter's engines historically. I'm wondering if they should be considered half-sisters, adoptive sisters, cousins or what else might be available?
