Why it would be good to have [[breeding slave]] tag

Posted under Tags

Hello there!

user #554505 asked me to explain this question here in the forum, because "as right now some might argue you could get the same use from sex_slave pregnant tag"

So here we are.

The reason for it is clear as a sunny day, "pregnant sex slave" is simply not the same as "breeding slave", because for its case, pregnancy is just a "side effect", a result of using a sex slave. Meanwhile, the name "breeding slave" means that the female is being used specifically for breeding (and pregnancy is a big part of it). That's why there are 2 different names: sex slave and breeding slave.

Honestly it's even surprising there wasn't a "breeding slave" tag on Danbooru up until now I added it, because it is present on many other sites.

Btw, idk who made "sex slave pregnant" tag, but that person definitely wasn't caring much about it cuz "pregnant sex slave" is a more correct name. Only 2 pages of posts btw.

Or is it a combo of 2 tags? I'm still learning heh. Either way there wasn't "breeding slave" tag anyway so I did the right thing by adding it.

sex_slave pregnant is a search of 2 tags, not the name of one tag. And it has so few results because the sex slave tag itself was only made a few months ago and isn't very well populated.

the issue is as always: how do you visually identify a breeding slave versus a sex slave? what sort of distinction do you have in mind for these tags? remember that tags are visual, and if a general tag can't be easily linked to an identifiable visual concept, it's dead on arrival.

Seems pointless.

This isn't a concept that has enough presence to need tagging. Especially when slave and pregnant are a thing.

Ngl danbooru feels kinda outdated and a bit unpopular at that point. But whatever.
Oh yeah, "breeding slave" could also mean "a slave that is being bred". So combining 2 meanings makes that tag even more meaninful. Why would you combine 2 tags if you already have 1 with a specific meaning. There are a whole 9 different tags for collars of different colors lmao. At that point we can add literally anything.

Visual identificators:
1) Dialogues/messages about breeding/knocking up/impregnating a character that wears slave collar / pet collar or is chained / tied up / restricted in some way.
2) The character has any slave / pet / cattle attributes like collar / chains / leash / nipples rings etc.
3) The character has tattoos / body writings / paintings that messages about something, like "number of births" on belly (pregnant or not, and symbols are very various) or literal text like breeding slave / breeding pig/cow / incubator / seedbed. Any symbols that has clear message.
4) Most obvious — the character is pregnant.

It might seem a bit tricky at first but it's actually just about context.

Sex slave can apply to 2.

For the rest, how do we know the only purpose for them is reproduction? Could just be a side effect. There's too much intent to read here.

Also when using AI to write up lists, you should probably read what you're getting as an output, so it's not a wall of generic points. Like what part of nipple rings = pregnancy maxxing.

Wow, people have started confusing AI-generated text with human-written text now. How do I prove my humanity? Skibidi dop dop sigma 67 rizz? Btw this is the first time someone confused me with AI as well as first time when I used bunch of zoomer words lol.

Anyway, nipple rings is a symbol of slavery as well as a slave collar. As for the "pregnancy maxxing", the most obvious is "breeding tattoos" like a "womb tattoo" and "births counter" (which doesn't only counts births but also shows level of fertility).

Now that you mentioned AI, I actually got interested how AI would answer the question "by looking at a single hentai art, how can you say if a character is a Sex Slave or a Breeding Slave?"
So here's the ultimate answer:

Visual cues in hentai art often distinguish them through focus, body state, markings, and context props.

These are common genre tropes (not universal rules—artists vary):

Sex Slave indicators
• Emphasis on general sexual use/service rather than reproduction.
• Body writing or tags like “sex slave,” “toy,” “use me,” “public use,” “cum dump” (without strong breeding/pregnancy focus), “whore,” etc.
• Poses and acts centered on oral, anal, bondage for access, gangbangs, or serving multiple people sexually.
• Accessories: heavy bondage, gags, restraints, leashes, collars with sexual motifs, sex toys left in, or presentation for penetration/use.
• Body usually non-pregnant (or pregnancy is incidental). Focus is on orifices, expression of submission/pleasure/pain during sex, or being treated as a sexual object/tool.
• Setting/props: bedrooms, clubs, private rooms, or public use scenes without strong “farm/livestock/breeding” framing.

Breeding Slave indicators
• Strong emphasis on impregnation, pregnancy, or reproductive use.
• Visible pregnancy (swollen belly is the biggest single giveaway), often exaggerated, with hands on belly, lactation/milk, or post-impregnation creampie focus.
• Body writing or tags like “breeding slave,” “breeding stock,” “pregnant,” “breed me,” “womb,” “fill with cum,” “livestock,” “broodmare,” “seedbed,” or numbers/marks tracking pregnancies/litters.
• Poses highlighting the belly, womb, or creampie/impregnation (e.g., legs spread with cum leaking + pregnant stomach, mating press with belly emphasis).
• Accessories/context: farm/livestock themes, stalls, breeding benches, animalistic collars/tags, or props tied to forced pregnancy/production. Sometimes swollen breasts with milk if lactation is included.
• The character is framed as a reproductive vessel more than a general sex toy.

Quick single-image tells
More Sex Slave: belly — flat / normal | body writing focus — sexual use / toy / whore | main visual focus — orifices, acts, bondage | setting vibe — sexual service / public use
More Breeding Slave: belly — pregnant / heavily swollen | body writing focus — breeding / pregnant / womb / stock | main visual focus — belly, creampie + pregnancy, milk | setting vibe — livestock / farm / impregnation place (optional)

Many pieces blend both (a breeding slave is usually also used for sex), so the dominant theme is what the artist emphasizes—pregnancy + reproductive framing vs. pure sexual objectification. Context text (titles, speech bubbles, tags) often seals it when present.

If the character is clearly both Sex Slave and Breeding Slave, but you can only use one tag, choose based on the dominant visual emphasis of the image.

Practical rule of thumb:
• Use “breeding slave” if the pregnancy / belly / impregnation theme is the strongest element.
A visibly pregnant body almost always takes priority, because pregnancy is a very specific and noticeable feature. In most tagging communities, the reproductive aspect overrides the more general “sex slave” label when both are present.
• Use “sex slave” only if the pregnancy is minor/incidental and the image focuses far more on general sexual use, bondage, public use, or objectification without strong breeding framing.

Why breeding usually wins the single-tag choice:
• Pregnancy is a highly specific trait → more descriptive.
• “Sex slave” is broader and can apply to almost any submissive sexual character.
• Most people searching or tagging expect the pregnancy to be called out when it’s prominent.

Quick decision guide:
• Big pregnant belly + sexual use → breeding slave
• Flat belly + heavy sexual slavery theme → sex slave
• Both equally strong but you must pick one → default to breeding slave

Back to human language again. All 3 slave & sex slave & breeding slave can be used at a single post anyway, because they are very closely related tags. Yet they all need to exist because different people like and search different things. Who knows, maybe if some people will be searching something like "breeding slave hentai" on web, they'll find Danbooru thanks to that new tag.

tl;dr.

@HornyMidori if you want to create a new tag start by reading the wikis of tags that already exist like slave, pregnant, etc. so you can tell how you are supposed to write the wiki. just from the way you wrote this it's clear you haven't read enough wikis to understand how you are supposed to be writing them. check howto:wiki if you need help.

then instead of making the tag create a favgroup first in your profile page and start adding posts to it

and if after you do this and you have like 10 posts and you still think that this is a taggable concept you can trust other people not to screw up then you make a BUR to turn it into a tag like topic #38138
