ballet

A type of performance dancing characterized by graceful movements and by elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses. Ballet originated in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia.

This tag is for ballet dances or poses being performed or practiced. For characters dressed as ballet dancers, use ballerina. Ballerina and ballet often overlap as the dancer is typically performing ballet poses.
