saturn devouring his son
A grotesque painting by Francisco Goya, interpreted as depicting the Roman deity Saturn eating one of his own children. Since the piece is one of the 14 Black Paintings discovered after Franciso Goya's death, and was later named by art historians, who is truly depicted is unknown.
The piece is frequently parodied by replacing Saturn with characters from other media, and the child with someone or something else, for comedic purposes.
