Stylized sparkling aura
A bright shimmer of reflected light, generally several diamond-, astroid, or star-shaped lines radiating from a point. They can be used to indicate an object is bright and shiny, but more often in anime they appear in a character's eyes, next to their head, or as an sparkling aura around a character to indicate that the character themselves has a bright or shiny quality.
Not to be confused with more realistic-looking glints or diffraction spikes. Diffraction spikes are the photographic effect of bright lights causing spikes of light to appear in the camera lens, similar to a lens flare. Glint is associated with sparkles appearing on metallic or sharp objects, such as blades.
